Lake Area's History
Established in 1932 by the Crenshaw family, Lake Area Disposal & Recycling has become the oldest and largest locally owned waste disposal service in Springfield and Sangamon County. Even after more than eight decades, the company remains under the operation of the Crenshaw family, displaying their dedication to their legacy.
Having survived the challenges of the Great Depression, Lake Area Disposal & Recycling has thrived by adhering to the principles set by the Crenshaw family for five generations.
