If you are a customer of Lake Area Disposal & Recycling, we are pleased to inform you that our recycling drop-off center is open exclusively to you. In order to gain access to the center, we kindly request that you bring along your most recent bill as proof of your customer status. This will ensure a smooth and efficient process for all involved.


However, if you find yourself without a recent bill, there's no need to worry. Simply make a stop at our office, and our friendly staff will be more than happy to verify your customer status for you. We understand that sometimes bills can get misplaced or overlooked, and we are here to assist you in any way we can.

Items We Accept at Our Recycling Drop-Off Center 


  • Tin cans (soup cans, pet food cans)
  • Aluminum cans (beverage cans)
  • #1 through #5 and #7 plastics (jugs, bottles, bowls)
  • Look for number on bottom of container. Rinse all containers. Labels may be left on. Place tin cans, aluminum cans, and plastics all together in the same bin
  • Clear and colored glass (jugs and bottles)
  • Rinse and remove lids. No other types of glass accepted
  • Newspaper (clean including inserts)
  • Junk mail
  • Magazines
  • Chipboard (small one-ply food boxes)
  • Phone books
  • Place paper material in bin labeled paper
  • Cardboard (corrugated boxes)
  • No Styrofoam or plastic. Place cardboard in bin labeled cardboard
